Welcome to Casa Grande Window Cleaning

At Casa Grande Window Cleaning we are dedicated to keeping up with the latest technology to advertise our business, this site is now a window news blog, built in wordpress and hosted by Godaddy.com.  A place where customers can learn how we care and want “Relief for Your Pane in the Glass!”  Here is what we use and some tips for you to get those windows clean…

Cleaners…

I once attended a convention in Las Vegas where about 75 percent of window cleaners I met used Joy or Dawn to clean glass.  We use only bio-degradable soap, Dawn (Dawn Saves Lives) Dish Washing Liquid and White Vinegar to clean windows.  In some cases we use a product called ‘Wet’ it helps hold water to the windows on hot days. If you are mixing your own soap, we suggest about 3 tablespoons of Dawn, and 1 cup of white vinegar for 3 gallons of water.  We also love Sprayway that has been around for years and contains no ammonia or harmful cfc’s.  Sprayway is great for mirrors stained glass and glass objects as well.  Available locally best price $2.38 A Can at Wal Mart and Home Depot, Ace carries it too but the price is a little higher, and Costco carries multi packs.

Get a Good Squeegee!

Locally, you can buy the consumer versions of Ettore Poles and Squeegees at Home Depot, Lowe’s is very limited in this area. ACE hardware used to . We use professional window cleaning equipment Unger, Ettore, And Sorbo.  When we first started the business all we used was Ettore equipment (he invented the squeegee).  But, like any business you evolve and find better solutions.  We still have Ettore soakers, and poles, but our squeegees are all SORBO.  They make aluminum bars which easily click into adjustable handles; the rubber is easy to replace, and the clips don’t stab your fingers.  To purchase a professional squeegee we suggest Detroit Sponge and Chamois online, or if you want to take a short trip Maintenance Mart with locations in Phoenix, Tempe, and Tucson.

Technique…

Go straight sideways or up and down when you first start, later you can learn to swirl.  Be sure to wipe the rubber off after each pass, then you will avoid the white line residue that builds up between strokes.  Click here to see my favorite cleaners in action on youtube.com
